In 2013, the ISSM became a part of West Virginia’s Integrated Behavioral Health Conference. Specific sessions and content will be provided to address the needs of ISSM participants. This is the first time that the ISSM will be held outside of the state of Maine.

Please join the  Bureau for Behavioral Health and Health Facilities  and 29  conference partners  for three days of exploring how People, Partnerships and Possibilities can enhance your life and the lives of the individuals you touch every day at West Virginia's first Integrated Behavioral Health Conference.

Internationally- and locally-recognized presenters  will explore current trends in integrated health care, clinical supervision, and evidence based practices to increase engagement and outcomes in service provision. Participants will be able to choose from nearly  100 plenary and workshop sessions . Plus, special events will provide powerful networking opportunities.

Our featured partners supporting this year’s conference include the West Virginia Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (WVAADC), Drug Endangered Children (DEC), the West Virginia Council for the Prevention of Suicide, the West Virginia Behavioral Health Providers Association, the West Virginia Developmental Disabilities Council, and the  International Symposium on Safe Medicine (ISSM) . Each of our partners have worked collaboratively with us to offer a conference of national prominence.

Conveniently located in the capital city of West Virginia, the  Charleston Civic Center  provides easy access to entertainment, dining and lodging. Special events will be held across the street at the Charleston Town Center Marriott.
