The mission of the Center On Aging is to promote and facilitate activities on aging
in the areas of education, research and evaluation, and community service.
Description: Sponsored by Families And Children Together (F.A.C.T.) and The University of Maine Center on Aging, this seminar will give clinicians more insight into the highly complex issues that Grandfamilies encounter and provide ideas on how to treat these families successfully. This seminar will offer experienced guidance in various clinical issues, including attachment, behavioral problems, kinship complexities, divided loyalties, and issues of loss and grief.
Grandfamily members and F.A.C.T. staff will also offer insight and experience.
