Bone Builders in Search of Volunteers

Bone Builders

Bone Builders is a weight bearing strength training program, using both hand weights and ankle cuffs, that helps improve muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and balance while reducing the impact of osteoporosis and osteopenia. There will be a 1 day training held on September 21st at the University of Maine at Augusta – Bangor Campus. Training is free of charge to all registered volunteers.

RSVP is seeking volunteers for sites in Bangor, Hampden, Old Town, and Veazie. For more information about the Bone Builders class and volunteer requirements, please contact Dan Moreshead, RSVP Senior Health & Fitness Coordinator, at 207-262-7924.
