Sandy Bailey, Professor & Extension Specialist received her doctorate in Families Studies from Oregon State University. Her research and expertise is in parenting, family interactions and family stress. She has been working with and researching the needs of grandparents raising grandchildren for the past 14 years. She founded and directs the Montana Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Project providing support, education and information to custodial grandparents across the State. Dr. Bailey has presented on the topic nationally and internationally and has disseminated her work in academic journals, book chapters and fact sheets.
