Kim Hazlett has been in the field of volunteer management since 2011 supervising The Senior Companion Program in Aroostook County. She coordinates this independent living service program with recruiting, screening, training, recognition, and management of volunteers and volunteer stations. Kim believes she has the best kind of job since she only meets the nicest people who want to make a difference in their community. Kim moved to this area from Connecticut and New York, where she worked as a Paralegal for years, to enjoy the way life should be. She has done volunteer work in a variety of settings and states. Currently, she co-chairs a local volunteer program helping children in need. She holds a degree in Legal Studies and Paralegal. Kim followed her passion for quilt art giving her opportunities to teach, lecture, design for fabric companies, and publish her design in quilting publications. She also has traveled to many different countries and considers herself to be a citizen of the world, which includes an active commitment to volunteerism.
