Elizabeth DePoy, Ph.D.
Elizabeth DePoy is a professor at University of Maine School of Social Work and Center for Community Inclusion where she teaches research and evaluation methods and disability studies. Her scholarship focuses on two areas: accessibility through innovative design and methods of inquiry, particularly integrating research, evaluation, and professional practice. She has co-authored 15 books and over 100 articles and presents her work locally through globally. Her most recent books include Branding and Designing Disability, Examined Practice, and the 6th edition of Introduction to Research. Her work in applying design principles to adaptive equipment is currently on display at the Smithsonian Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York.
