Where Can I Volunteer?

RSVP promotes Older Adult Health & Wellness

Bone Builders offers volunteering opportunities to teach lightweight training classes to prevent osteoporosis. Help create a healthy future for you and your community!

Walking Buddies volunteers lead walking groups and provide social connections and mentorship for other older adults in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings. Don’t walk alone- help others gain energy and strength while achieving your own health and wellness goals!

RSVP supports Children’s Literacy

Let’s Read! Let’s Grow! pairs older adults with students in local preschools and daycare programs to read, play games, and participate in other literacy-based activities. This program is popular with our volunteers who are retired teachers!

RSVP helps combat Food Insecurity

We partner with many community food pantries in the area, including Commodity Foods. You can find a complete list of the food pantries we support HERE.

RSVP fosters Community Partnerships

We partner with a diverse range of organizations across the counties we serve, meeting critical needs right in your own community. A complete list of our current Community Partners can be found HERE.

We are pleased to announce our newest opportunity! Simulated Patient Volunteering is an exciting new partnership with the University of Maine’s Schools of Nursing and Social Work. This allows older adults to help students practice caring for the people they’ll serve as professionals by playing the role of standardized patients. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with a career interest in healthcare, acting, or academia!
