Babak Hejrati, Ph.D.

Dr. Hejrati is an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maine. Prior to the current position, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at Harvard University John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Science and Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering. He received his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from Utah Robotics Center at the University of Utah. His research interests lie in the fields of robot-assisted gait rehabilitation, biomechanics, and human-robot interaction, in which human motion analysis and robotics are utilized for design and fabrication of assistive devices for therapeutic and medical applications.
