Dyan M. Walsh, MSW

In fall 2021, Dyan joined the University of Maine and worked as a Project Coordinator within the School of Social Work on a four-year project, funded by the federal Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).  At the same time, she worked as a Project Coordinator in the School of Nursing on two HRSA grants. One grant focused on increasing diversity among their students and faculty, the other grant centered on integrating evidence-based practices that increase resilience and decrease burnout in Nursing students, faculty and staff.  Dyan has a long history with UMaine, having received her MSW (2007) and BSW (2006) from the School of Social Work.  She also served as a field instructor to BSW and MSW students for over a decade. After earning her MSW, she joined the Eastern Area Agency on Aging where she served in several positions including Director of Services (2009-2016) and Executive Director (2016-2021).
