Dr. Strout’s clinical and scientific career has focused on promoting health and well-being through non-pharmacological, holistic, wellness interventions. Dr. Strout’s research agenda focuses on behavioral and non-pharmacological wellness interventions to promote health among community-dwelling older adults.
Common themes among Dr. Strout’s research include the health benefits of physical activity and social engagement and the significance of a holistic approach to health care. Older adults want to live independently and protect their health; they want interventions and practitioners to support them.
