Leah is pursuing her Master of Social Work at the University of Maine Orono. She graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in Early Childhood Special Education and a concentration in Human Development and Family Studies. Leah then taught in rural Vermont as an inclusive classroom teacher and special educator before accepting a Fulbright Grant to work as an English teaching assistant in Taiwan. A job overseeing childcare programs for a school district brought her to Maine in 2019. She is now in the classroom as an early childhood special educator. In Leah’s free time, she enjoys running, hiking, nordic skiing, and reading with her dog Kali by her side.
