The Maine Gerontological Society (MGS) is a statewide association of individuals interested in issues impacting older adults in the state of Maine.
The Society has the charge of serving as the leading interdisciplinary association on aging in the state focusing on aging education, practice and research in policy perspective.
The goal of the program is to increase the number of students who specialize in working with older adults by developing aging-rich field internships in graduate social work education programs.
The Maine Benzodiazepine Study Group is comprised of physicians, epidemiologists, nurse practitioners, drug abuse specialists, and other interested parties in Maine and Canadian provinces.
