Maine Gerontological Society
The Maine Gerontological Society (MGS) is a statewide association of individuals interested in issues impacting older adults in the state of Maine.
The Society has the charge of serving as the leading interdisciplinary association on aging in the state focusing on aging education, practice and research in policy perspective.
Gerontology and Geriatrics Education
The Center on Aging and School of Social Work in partnership with other schools and departments at UMaine are committed to education in the field of gerontology through initiatives such as the Hartford Partnership Program for Aging Education, the BSW Experiential Learning Program, the Certificate in Leadership in Rural Gerontological Practice, and the Interdisciplinary Graduate Certificate in Gerontology

The Maine Benzodiazepine Study Group is comprised of physicians, epidemiologists, nurse practitioners, drug abuse specialists, and other interested parties in Maine and Canadian provinces.
